Anybody going to the Boro this week for the car show? We've been a lot and haven't seen any other 8's really.

 

4 of us are Saturday at buffalos for the car show 12 pm. We r meeting at 1130

 

I didn't know there was one on Saturday. Me and Wikked won't be at that one though. We already have plans. I'm talking about the one behind Belk on Friday's,

Sweet! i'd like to meet up with some 8 drivers sometime. I see them around here fairly often. Id love to go to the DGRR but im always stuck working weekends.

^+1...a few days notice would be awesome this time though...kinda heard about the last one 3 hours before it happened and I had plans already. Fridays and Saturdays are best for me.

 

We are always at Charles' house on any given day. There are so many rotaries over there to work on, and everyone contributes to the cause.

Hey guys I had a friend tell me that a group of people are meeting at mtsu on friday. Im not sure if the group is gonna start a regular meetups or not. Ill try to get more information and updates.

 

If you're fine with getting run off by police etc, then go for it. Most of those are rag tag events at best with a bunch of kids doing burn outs in parking lots and attracting police attention. Just be aware, but have a good time.

 

The person running it said that they had it set up through the school as a collegiate thing. some kind of association so hopefully they would be a bit more civilized but who knows

That would be a pleasant change... details plz. I attended MTSU like 3 years.

 

Alright I got a little more info on the meetup. Its moved to thursday now from 12-4. They plan on meeting in the KUC (Keathley University Center). The only problem I have thought of is that I have no idea where everyone who doesn't go to school will park since you have to have parking passes and they are terrible about tickets. I will be parked at my apartments and probably walking to the kuc to see what its all about.

 

12-4? AM or PM? Either is pretty silly for a car meet since it's on a Thursday...

 

Pm. I agree that it's a strange time and on a random day but I suppose it is meant to be scheduled for the best student times but idk. I will probably talk to them and see about having the meetings on weekends so it won't matter about parking and the times would be better.

The KUC has virtually no parking. It is in the middle of the day. When I was at MTSU, I always had classes in those hours.

And on a Thursday?

Sorry, I'm a big boy now, and have to work. If you want to see my car on campus, wait until fall. It will be in the BRAA lot, at the tailgating RV row :D

Yup. I dont believe it was very well planned out since it is there "first meeting". Hopefully they will be more organized as time goes on. It would be nice to have a group associated with school but if not ill be sticking to other car meets and such.

 

hey i am from columbus ohio moving down to murfreesboro how many 8s we have down here and is it a nice import scene down here i am coming down thursday to do couple interviews for jobs then go from there.

 

The import scene here is mostly immature kids, but if that's your cup of tea, then you're all set. If you've grown out of parking lot burnouts and running from police, then it's probably not going to be your kinda thing. lol.

That said, we have a pretty big rotary group here in the Murfreesboro/Smyrna area. You won't find a lot of modified 8's around here. I've probably seen 5, and 3 of those are part of our group.

Hit me up when you get in town, and we'll all try and get together. We're all going to Deals Gap next weekend (we leave out Thursday). Open registration ends Sunday though.
