I'm still here. About to turn 100k miles on my 8. Hard to believe I've had her over 9 years.

Nope, I got a compression test done right before more warranty ran out. I was barely under spec so I got a new reman put in at 87k.

 

How much did it cost to get the compression test done?

 

It was free covered under warranty. Having a good relationship with the dealership has its benefits ;-)

 

Well I don't know anybody at Med Center that well and I wouldn't want to do anything that would compromise my morals or integrity.

Once you get close to the end of your warranty you might want to talk to a service adviser about your concerns. Usually, if you tell them you're having a hard time starting it they'll do a compression test under warranty (if you have new plugs and coils). It also helps if you've had your oil changes and service work done there.

Morally I had no issue with it. The design of the S1 renesis is flawed. Just my 2 cents.

Just to let some of you know, there is a Cars and Coffee in Bham every saturday morning at 8:30 - 10:30.. Location: Brookwood Mall parking deck behind AppleBees/O'Henry's coffee. Or better land mark is parking deck just next to the new Target.

I usually make it to this every saturday morning.. except maybe tomorrow..
