Any one know of any good Rotary shopd in Miami?
Hi all,
I am looking for a good reliable rotary shop in the South Miami area or just anywhere in Miami. I am tired of taking my car to shops that know nothing about my car!
Thank You

Pettit Racing is about an hour north of Miami off of I-95. Worth the drive.

YEA, Lopez Racing. They build the craziest, fastest rotary cars I know of! Check that place out. There's also a plaza in front of their shop with a REALLY good sub shop. Eat there.

Both, first i want to get my, the car running good, since i bought the car all i have done is the oil every 2k and a tranny flush that my uncle did for me at his shop, I was looking into new spark plugs, coils, and seafoaming the engine. Just basically have it running smooth. The car is stock right now.
And thanks a bunch for the input I had no idea that there were any rotary shops in Miami.

Gustavo at TAV Racing in Doral is a Subaru/Mitsu specialist, but he also services the RX-8.

if your uncle can do your tranny the plugs and coils are just as easy...the seafoam..well do your research before committing to that..if he does your plugs and coils it will be cheaper than going to a shop
Where do you guys recommend I should go to replace my coils? I recently went to the dealer because my 8 was sluggish and started slow. The cause was bad coils from what they say.. They are charging me $395 w/o labor. I went to some body shop and they charge $300 w/ labor. I don't know, I still think it's expensive.. Plus, I'd rather go to some known rotary shop. I want to make sure it's really the coils.
Its really easy man. If you search the DIY forums you can get an idea on what to do. if your located near pines I'd be willing to help you out
No fancy aftermarket stuff (well unless it isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg), just your basic "check the suspension and replace shock/coils as needed'. I'm also due for an Oil change and a few of the shops around here refuse to touch an RX8 anymore.
Mazda Repairs, telephone 305-666-2988, 7023 SW 46th Street.
I have been taking all my Mazdas there including my previous 2004 RX-8. The mechanic there is Phillip and he really knows rotary engines. Owns a very hot RX-7.
