That is a correct picture and there were plenty more mazda's on the other side of the lot. Someone might need to bring a ladder to attempt an arial shot if the group is large enough. LOL!

I'm a new RX8 owner, and would really enjoy a trip up to ATL for the weekend. I'd be coming from Central Florida, so I'll be taking 75 all the way up.

I'm gonna plan on coming. No reason I can take off Friday and a Monday for that, and make it a long weekend.

Count me in.

Any ideas on where/when the caravan wants to meet up around Macon?

But about the caravan.....hmmmm ...Not quite sure yet. I'll guess we'll make that decidion at the last second a week or so before the meet.

I live in Macon. Easiest meeting point would probably be somewhere off of 475 (macon's bypass). Although it is technically a bypass, check all the maps, you'll see it's actually shorter distance-wise and a higher speed limit. Exit 9 (Zebulon Road) is a good point, plenty of large parking lots right by the ramps. We should be able to get a good car mix going for the rest of the ride up.

What is the 300? Never heard of it.
hehe....Its cool.....300 is a highway that leads onto I-75 North.....

I dont think you will notice it if your going I-75 North......Its just a straight shot for you eh?.....

Yup...As a matter of fact, I-75 runs through about 2 miles from my house, so it's a straight shot all the way.

BTW, you need to update your list of who's coming...Slacker!

Will's going to make me drive all out of the way and stuff. Way to go ***! J/K. Zebulon road would be the best place to meet. Plenty of places for those of us with less than average fuel economy to fill up. :p

Is anyone from the Duluth area? I'd like to get a hotel for the weekend, but I'm not sure of any nice places to stay. I Orbitz'd some hotels that looked halfway decent. (I don't care about fancy, just clean...) And I'd like a place where beer is abundant and not frowned upon.

Zebulon Rd. it is in Macon then! I live off Zebulon Rd so it will be good for me! Will what you up to next weekend? I get my car back from the "Stealership" today. They had to replace the oil metering valce/motor to fix teh oil leak. Gotta love that w/ 40 miles left on the bumper to bumper!!!

sorry for not knowing, do you have an 8 or a 6. oil metering makes me think an 8. Did you have to have your pump replaced? Just curious.

big83bronco, so, tell me more about your metering pump being replaced, and if it fixed your leak. my dealership thought I had a leaking OMP, and I was out of warranty, and they wanted almost $2K to fix it. I had someone else look at it, and found the real leak, the front main seal at the eccentric shaft. Just wondering what you weant through, and if it has been fixed.

2K for teh pump is rediculous, all of mine was $1551.71 w/ labor at the dealership. Mine was still under warranty. Im not suer if it fixed it or not, but we will know soon, im taking it back in, in 2k miles to see if there is any new oil on the motor.
