3rd Annual RX-8 Descent on Road Atlanta March 16, 17, 18 2007 with NASA-SE
I'm going to try to leave here around noon on Friday. The car's ready with a few additions each time.
SS brake lines
New hawk HP+ pads
Full fluid flush (Oil, Tranny, Diff, Brakes, Clutch)
Aftermarket Oil pressure and Temp gauges installed.
I realize now I've put the cart before the horse... I have a great fun track car that I need to tow to the track, and no tow vehicle. I'm having to borrow vehicles from my very generous friends since no rental agancy will let you tow with one of their rental trucks. Don't be surprised if I come to CMP or Roebling with a U-Haul truck towing the car!
I'm feeling a little better. Slept most of today since the medicine is making me really drowsy. Last time it started clearing up the second day and I started to feel great. Should be good by Friday. Can't wait!

One more thing on the car preparing thing.
I bled the brakes too and fluid was clear out of the rear calipers but greenish brown out if the fronts, keep in mind that the fluid had been completely flushed days before CMP.
So I guess the heat from just that one track weekend was enough to turn the front calipers fluid into a murky mess?
Your actual milleage may vary but it sure sounds like a good case for bleeding for every track weekend to me.. As far as I'm concerned, forget that 3 months stuff.

Lego - I hope you have a speedy recovery. It really sounds awful. I have never had poison oak or ivy before and after reading this, I sure do not want to ever get it.
I won't get to prep my car until Friday. I need to do pads and rotors. My Falken tires are getting pretty worn out but I think I still have a couple of weekends worth of rubber on them.
This weekend I will be playing with a special front toe out setting Jeff at GTE marked for me. It is a simple adjustment I can do track side.

Well, I'm sure everyone else knows already but just in case you don't... I'm a dumb ***! My instructor signed me off last NASA event at Road Atlanta and I thought it was just to Solo in DE2. I didn't realize that he actually signed me off for moving to DE3 for the next event. Since I signed up for DE2 I have to stay there until Sunday (I think) and the next event I will register in DE3. Still, I shall go under advisement of my Master Instructor and treat it as though I've not been signed off yet. So, OD looks like I may be joining you soon my friend!

umm...no, unfortunately, it is only Wednesday. The one day of the week, that I can't spell. 30 years old, and still can't spell today. I think the right spelling...is wrong. the "n" is in the wrong place.
well-- in putting my ss brake lines on i found that one of the back ones had a leak--just my old fart luck. Oh well the rest of them are ok. Got my 10W/40 in, got my pads on, have flushed my brake system(my fluid looked brand new) and install the blue, made sure my air filter had not fallen off, cleaned my maf, new tranny oil (less than 1k on it ) as well as diff., short shifter in, gauges working great , hoosiers mounted and track wheels cleaned and freshly balanced--now just have to pack, cook the food and help TA put some new front rotors on.
Silver---dont worry about hp 3 after 2-3 laps all the nerves will be gone---really it's no big deal. Just drive like you already know how and keep your eye open---remember everyone still has to get a point by. I wish they could start you out in hp 3 with me.
Well I didnt have time to fabricate a mount--so no vids for me---Mood Dude maybe your mount will be ok --no harm in trying---right?
Friday night will be a long night--i am freaking ready to get on track---yall mark my words--turn 12 no longer is my nemesis. I may **** all over myself but I am going through that )((**&^$## turn as it should be done--yall watch me.
God--this is going to be fun

WaaaaHooooo!
Well since everyone is talking about all the upgrades they did to their cars, I thought I would share with you guys a picture of my rebuilt car that is going to blow the pants off of everyone!

Also, there are about 6 cars less in 3 then there are in 2 so I see no reason why Julie would not want to lighten-up the load in 2 and balance the track traffic to 3.

I did manage to find my two worker log books last night, I have been looking for them for almost a month since we moved in. I am glad I found them, I would have been pissed to loose those worker credits.
ONLY ONE MORE DAY!!!!

Can I ride on the front spoiler of that thing! Looks like you could put a small coffee table on it. Didnt they put a rotary in it?
Sounds like we need to bring our long johns. One day (Hana) before I point her north.
