Yea, I don't have anything to find out the code. I'll probably have to go to the dealer. Sucks, it was random. I thought it was the gas cap or something. 8 still runs like a beast though..

Autozone dude. Just tell them that u want to check the light and they'll bring out a scanner for u. Copy down the codes somewhere and when u get home open up that shop manual to see how to diagnose the problem...or google it lol

Since u mention this I've been thinking of doing this to my RPF1s but I'm scared of the constant cleaning that will be needed there after.

call me crazy... but i thought of a pretty neat and sneaky ram intake idea by cutting out the bumper around the inside of the mazda emblem (but keeping all the material underneath the "M"so it can stay properly mounted) and making a custom air duct to the intake....

And in the rain you will. Do what to keep water from your intake?

the first few inches of the ducting starting just after the emblem would be perforated so any water could drain out early on

On a white rim the dirt is definately more visible. Either way it would look good. Just make sure to put plenty of clear coat and a couple layers of wax.

Revi RAM air duct from Racing Beat defeats the need to spend 100's of dollars in altering a bumper when you could do that for literally half as much. In the end you MIGHT gain 1/2 a HP...Maybe...or lose 10 HP...LOL!

I have it on my Rx8...With a K&N filter and the ram air duct it definately gave it a tiny bit of HP...At least thats what the butt Dyno says.

well i know that, i was just thinking of something "different" and unique. i never said i was going to be doing it. it would be cool though.
Remember i have a 4p/4spd auto tragic, so id rather invest elsewhere first like clear corners, maybe springs and shocks or coilovers depending on what ends up cheaper and i like more, led lights, exhaust tips and stuff like that. when im out of warranty ill go grab my AP midpipe, and look into buying a cheap *** daily driver that i can use while take all the parts of my 8 associated with it being a AT, and either go 6p/6spd MT or 6p/6spd AT. (the AT option might end up a little cheaper) and since my engine and trans is low mileage and stuff, i can sell them and make up whats spent getting the parts for the swap.

Weird. After leaving from the Heat vs Celtics game today my CEL turned off. And it never went back on. Even after playing tag with a BMW 335i, and a benz. Good times. Dodging traffic following each other. Maybe the 8 was having so much fun it forgot about the problems it had. Could it be just a bad sensor?
