2004 6spd transmission leak (need help)

Hi everyone, I’ve got a trans leak on my 2004 mt rx8. Seems to be coming from a gold solenoid on the passenger side of the housing. I have to replace the part as tightening it didn’t seem to work. I can’t seem to find it anywhere though, I’m pretty sure it’s the reverse lockout solenoid but not sure. If anyone knows what it is or a part # I would appreciate it.

It’s the reverse tail-light switch. The potting is known to go bad and leak on the early versions. Just replace it with a new one or have it done. Requires draining and refilling the trans oil and getting to the connectors can be tough for someone not experienced in general mechanical work.

Part No. Y611-17-640A

I appreciate the help I’m actually in school for auto tech so it’s easy work just couldn’t figure out if it was the reverse switch for sure. Again thanks!
