I have K&N intake systems for the RX-8 in stock and ready to ship. These now come with a heat shield that keeps the hot engine air out of the box. Price has gone up due to the added shield. $225

I've had mine for a month with no problems so far

 

Went over to the RX8store today at lunch and took a look at the K&N Typhoon w/ the Heat Shield. It was the red one and it looked good. The heat shield doesn't have a top to it like the RotaryExtreme CAI does. It simply has a black metal piece that goes around the back and side of the monster K&N filter. Would be interested to know if it performs any better w/ the heat shield in place.

 

I have a K&N Intake along with the funky idle that comes with it. I'm hoping the heat shield will clear that up. Are you selling the heat shield by itself?

We are in Hilliard. If you get on 270 south and get off on Roberts Rd. Take a left and then a right at the Wendys. Follow that around to Millikin and take a right. We are in back on the left side. There will be a bunch of RX-7's out front.
