Hey all. I used to own an 05 rx8 but lost it to a fire. Right now I own a 2006 Pontiac GTO in Torrid Red and did not know if there is anyone out there in America that would want to trade their black 2009 R3 RX-8 for it.
The vehicle has a little over 26,000 miles on it and includes these mods:
Engine:
-SLP Longtube headers with high flow mids
-Spintech Catback exhaust
Computer:
Custom tuned Diablosport Predator
Suspension:
-Pedders bushings replaced originals. These are five separate items and cover most of the foundational bushings on the GTO. The most notable of these is the front radius rod bushings. The sixth item which is not a bushing but was done at the same time is a Pedders Differential insert.
-Pedders front and rear sway bars are sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.
-Pedders Chromoly front sway bar end links (already installed)
Tires:
-Replaced roughly six thousand miles ago, and just had them rotated, Nitto NT 555 extreme ZR rated tires.
Other miscellaneous work:
-Custom colored cluster/ac controls (Blue numbers and red needles, the RPM needle is blue and around 4k starts turning red then very red the higher you go)
-Pioneer FH-800BT head unit with ipod hookup
-DDM tuning HID rated 4500k low beams and fog lights
-Blue interior LEDs in the dome lights, courtesy lights, key ignition light and footwell lights. White LEDs in the maplights, trunk light, center console light, and glove box light.
-27 percent Window tint
-SAP grills painted body color
-Debadged in the rear (only the pontiac arrow)
Here are a few pics:
I dont't have any recent pics of it with the SAP grills installed but just try and imagine them from the first pic
A little about the car:
This particular car is quite loud. You will most likely wake up your neighbors if you have any and you go to leave in the middle of the night. An example: my last year at college I went out to get in my car, which was about 150 yards away from my friends room. When I cranked up the car he called me and asked where I was going, and said he heard my car plain as day. If any of you doubt me, I can provide a video that demonstrates how loud it is . That being said, as many of you know, this car is wickedly fast. It never ceases to put a smile on my face. I get roughly 19 mpg with about 70 percent of that being in the city, which is pretty good for a +400 HP V8. The handling on the car when I bought it was, sloppy in all honesty. The bushings, especially the front radius rod bushings, made a world of difference in the car as did the tires. The car could probably never outhandle an RX8 however it is much more nimble and responsive than it was when I purchased it. Also the swaybars I would include in the trade as well, which have 4 adjustable settings in the front and two in the back.
I am wanting to sell the car because I want something that is more practical for my needs. I simply love the looks of the black r3s and I would like to own a rotary engine powered car again, as I was not ready to lose mine.
Please serious inquiries only
