WTB 2004-2006 RX-8 GT Chicago, IL Nothing over $22,000 please unless it's amazing..

Hi, I'm in the market for an rx-8 GT right now. The only color I do not want is velocity red or green unless you can offer an amazing unbeatable deal. Solors I would prefer in somewhat my preferential order are as follows: Titanium, black, silver, and blue with black leather. I really want leather and the moonroof, so unless it's a great deal on a non gt, then i probably won't be interested. Other colors are welcome too. No turbo's.

I'm looking for a car in great condition, with service records, and no rust on it!! I would also like the know the miles and months remaining on warranty.

If the car's a 2004, i'm looking for about 20k miles (less miles won't hurt of course!!), and will not be willing to spend over $18,000. If auto, I'm not willing to spend over $16,500.

For 2005, I'm not really willing to spend over $20,000 or $17,500 for an auto. ~ 10,000-15,000 miles

for 2006, I think my cap is around $22,00 and maybe $20,000 for an auto. ~0-10,000 miles

Those are the prices I'm willing to pay for the best of the best and about my complete max. So, cars that are slightly less than what I ask for, I can't offer that amount. I'm open to anything though, so please post and offer! Just no games please.

Please post with a link to your car or the full specs here. I'm from Chicago. please let me know your location too. I am definitely interested and will probably be purchasing an rx-8 within a month or so, whether it be new or used. thanks!! I've done a ton of research and a ton of comparision shopping so I know these things don't hold their resale value so if you're tired of hanging onto the 8, then contact me! I might just go new when the 2006 GTs fall into the $24.5k range soon if all else fails. Make me an offer i can't refuse!!!

who wants to sell their car within a week? I really do have cash in hand and will be buying one whether new or used within 2 weeks time so if you want/need to sell let me know now with your lowest price, since I won't be negotiating.

You'll be hard pressed to find a GT under 20k miles for those respective prices. You're asking people to give them away.

I'm asking people to sell at what the market is willing to pay. I'm sorry if you believe your car is actually worth MSRP, but even a very brief scan of some of the listings here will reveal car listings for almost as low as I'm asking haven't been sold for MONTHS. Go see for yourself.

Why don't you go back to trying to sell your car, and not worry about others? Goodluck selling it at that price. Earlier this year, when there were 05's GT on the lots (several months back) they were being cleared out for about $24,500 (some less, but this was the best price I was able to get). Hmmm, buy a new one or pay you $21,500 for an old one with 23k miles?

I understand you might have been one of the first one's to jump in and buy it for near MSRP, but that doesn't mean your car is worth MSRP. I wonder how long it'll be before you sell your car....

The listed value of my car is $20,000. I'm asking $18,900 but would be happy with $18k even. I know these cars don't hold their value well but I think that's quite reasonable.

Obviously, either buyers or sellers will have to budge on the value of these cars. Like I said, you'll be hard pressed to find one at the prices you want. I never said it was impossible, just difficult. Good luck.

The listed value of your car according to....KBB? The listed price should just get someone into the ballpark. They don't represent the true value of your car. I'll agree with you that these cars should be worth more than they are going for. I'm just listing what I'm willing to pay. I didn't mean to attack you or anything, but when 3 people pop up and say my wtb prices are unreasonable, I needed to defend that fact that my prices are perfectly reasonable if you look at what some have gotten, including what I was offered earlier in the year for a new vechicle, and some of the sold used prices lately.

I agree, 18k is reasonable for your car and I truly do wish you the best of luck with your sale.

Yeah, the listed price according to KBB. Sorry for being vague. I'm about to list my car on Autotrader. Hopefully someone will think it's worth $18k or better.

Looks like you're wasting your time here; you'd be better off shopping E-Bay.

wow, why don't people with nothing to offer butt out? I have gotten several offers on here and I'm in the process of closing the deal with at least one. So yeah, thanks for your useless condescending advice.

Price Range in the Real World...

All, I've been looking a bit out there, and getting ready to buy an '05 Blue 6 spd GT for $21,200 with 9K miles, and this is at a dealership. I'd have to say our buddy here is a little low on his prices, but not too much so. It may be a combination of the time of year, the HUGE availability of used RX-8's, and the unexpected market depreciation on them. As a buyer, I'm happy about that, but as an owner, I'll be taking it on the chin like everybody else whenever the time comes to sell. Sorry!

Thats probably cause the dealership raped someone on the trade. They are still making a killing on 21,200. Option packages vary also. Grand Touring package adds about $2k to the value.

yes, the OP was very picky and looking to lowball but that's their prerogative. btw, they haven't replied to anything since november and were looking to close a deal then so until there is another reply saying they are still looking, i'd say they probably already made a purchase.
