Hi guys,

I was thinking about picking up an RX-8 . I am open to different years, colors and levels of modification (I would actually even consider supercharged or turbo car if done right.) I have cash and in hand for the right car but it must be clean and tastefully modified. An R3 might work too.

*no black
*no autos
*AC must work
*would prefer NJ car as I am a busy guy and if NJ car, must have good inspection/no CEL.

So in summation, if you have a nice 8 you are looking to sell please let me know. I am really looking for a stellar example of an RX8. I in my 30s, a car enthusiast and will pay a fair price, if not above market value, for the right car.

If you're still looking, I have a grey '08 Grand Touring that's pretty spectacular with 36K miles. Like you, I searched a long time for this car to find just the right one. I wasn't really looking to sell, but may be willing to so I can accomplish some other things. I have pampered this car and only drive it on clear sunny days. I'm just over the NJ/PA border in Bethlehem PA.

 

Look on Autotrader, there was an S2 (2010) with 30kish miles on it, Silver GT from a dealership for around $16k in NJ I was looking at. It might be sold now, but that could be a good place to look if nothing here catches your eye.

 

Spoonman- check your PM and email - I have a car withat fits your list of needs and then some, with only 16,000 miles on it.

 

I might need to sell my car, as I am moving to DC in June. Everyone keeps telling DC is probably the worst place on earth to own a car.

Anyway, I have an 06 Titanium Gray Grand Touring (78k) with Brown/Black leather interior. Pretty much perfect condition inside and out. Small ding on the front bumper, I can send you a detailed picture of that if you're interested in the car. I was just like you when I went looking for RX-8s, I wanted a really good example of a stock gen 1, and I paid a bit above blue book because the previous owner was a father who took really good care of the car and it was loaded with every option available (except sat nav). Only aftermarket part is an aux jack for music. I'm in the Philly area.


Fun fact, my car was the car that was used to film RegularCars' RX-8 Review. Here's the video if you haven't seen it (it's pretty funny if I do say so myself)!

Yeah.. The film is pretty funny.. But I don't know if I'd show it to someone who's thinking about buyin' an -8!

 

You sure you dont want black? Ive kept mine showroom clean without issues all summer long. Once you get it looking good and have a nice coat of good wax its easy to keep it clean unless you live on a dirt road and have a gravel driveway.

I have a 2006 shinka cooper red manual f/s 50,000 mil and still 2years bumper 2 bumper warranty that i can transfer to anyone ..am in far ne philly

I'd like to just stick to NJ cars. I've gotten a few decent offers but they were far away. Something in NJ is bound to pop up soon...I can feel it LOL
