Well. I owned this since 2008, purchased right after a lease holder gave it back to the dealership with 11,200 miles... Fast forward 11 years and a new Pettit Racing motor, with a lot of modifications to help the longevity of the motor... I am at the point of either keep the car or try to sell it to start a lumbermill business...
Was fairly active on the forums when I was learning about the beauty and headaches of this car. A lot of time and research went into finding the right combo of parts to fulfill my goal with the rebuild of the engine.
I have all the documents for the parts on this car... The list is long... so here are the highlights...

Pettit Racing Short Block
BHR coil set up
BHR mid pipe
Borla Cat back exhaust(I love the sound)
AEM cold air intake
Sohn adapter with 3qt reservoir
Custom oil coolers(long story that goes with that)
Ron Davis Radiator
Act clutch and lightweight flywheel

Only thing "performance" wise not touched is the suspension, fuel pump, and injectors...
(The car is ready for a turbo if you really want to go down that path)

The car hates cold temperatures, anything below 55 degrees out the car has a hard time staying above 180 F coolant temp...
Body is in damn good shape for 11 years, yes the paint has faded and you can tell that from the clear bra on the hood... 3 minor hail dents on the hood(I can see them, you may not)
Car has been in the body shop 3 times, once for the inner fender falling off, once for a hit and run to the back driver side fender, and one time for a "door ding" on the rear passenger door... all were fixed with brand new panels as I planned on keeping this car for life...

This rebuild is the 3rd motor in the car. The rebuild has about 5k miles on it, maybe 8k now that I think about it... the first motor lasted till 2012 with 47k, second motor(the free one) lasted 15k(62k on the body), that's when I started modifying since the warranty was up... and that leads me to engine 3 from a great company... I have had little to no issue with the car since... This has been tuned remotely by Mazda maniac, so I have the Cobb access port to go with the car as well, so maybe you can continue to get it tuned up...

So yeah, that's what I am selling in a nut shell... I only lost my license once because of this car...

And I relocated the oil filter to the front of the engine bay so I could be lazy for easy changes...

Thanks for looking, and again I am in no hurry to sell for a cheaper price. This vehicle doesn't cost me anything any more beside the oil and gas I feed into it...

The trunk lid has some paint fade spots due to a really cool bumper sticker that degraded and fell off...

Just some other small details...

Driving, the car hates going below 3k rpms in 1st and 2nd gear... 3-6 is fine above 2k rpms...
So heavy stop and go traffic have fun...
Due to a light weight flywheel and a nice clutch..

Avg MPG is around 14... with letting it warm up for a couple minutes and mix in how i drive...

I order the wrong type of engine mounts, so the car has a "slight" vibration now...



Cruising at 80mph for 20 mins... Outside temp 48F... cooland and oil temps around 175F... (the computer kicks in and wants to inject more fuel to warm up the engine)
