It's Time To Sell: New baby demands it
Well, after hemming and hawing, and because of a lease deal on a Legacy that runs through June 30th, I'm selling the 8.
This is an '05 sport, when they put xenon hid, DSC and fogs on the sports package, and a 6 speed manual.
It is low mileage as you will recall I drove my Jeep for two winters.
Zero accidents, period. No fender benders, period.
27,000 miles. Dealer replaced battery and starter motor in December under TSB.
Oil was changed every 3000 miles, and I have all service records. Brakes are in fantastic shape, as is motor. Car tracks absolutely true.
Silver with charcoal interior.
Everything works, nothing is broken. Car was taken care of.
I also have Hankook iPike W409s that were used for one winter that are fantastic in the snow. They are basically like new, mounted on 17" Momo Winter rims. You can see what those rims look like online.
Also, I bought a set of BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires that have not yet been mounted, new with stickers and all, in my basement. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=g-Force+Sport
We had a baby recently, and it's just time to get a true four dour sedan, unfortunately.
$13,800 for car, snow tires, extra set of new summer tires and 17" Momo winter wheels, or $13,200 for car alone.
I will guarantee everything in writing, including perfect mechanical record (but with replacement of battery and starter motor by dealer) and lack of any accidents whatsoever.
Car is in Michigan.
You will have a tough time finding a low mileage, one owner, non-smoker, guaranteed no accident or mechanical problems in writing car elsewhere, because I looked extensively.
I have this listed for $14,000 for just the car in the classifieds, but the forums have been good to me, and I'd rather sell it here.
If you need the VIN for carfax or whatever, let me know.

Okay, screw me.
I'm keeping this car.
It's a long story, I don't have time to post it now although you deserve it, but I'll just say I could have sold this car and backed out.
I'll fill in the details when I have time.
When I think I want to sell this car the next time, I'll think harder before opening my big, fat mouth.
If a mod of Elara or Zoom or whomever wants to go nuclear and take this thread out, I'd shed no tears.
Viva Le RX-8!!! Peace out!!!!

I know.
The short version is that there are NO mid-sized cars I'd want in my garage EXCEPT the Mazda6 but I have very good information that now is not the optimum time to buy a 6.
Altima, Camry, Accord (especially Camry) = painful, spiritual death. This is only my opinion and I realize others disagree.
Only the 6 can be somewhat satisfying out of that pack. The Altima would have had a chance had they not crippled it with a stupid CVT.
Hence, I will wait and bide my time for a strategic strike on a 6 and enjoy my 8 while doing so.
