Exclamation good bye to expo1

Year: 2004
Make: Mazda
Model: RX-8
Price: $4000
Mileage: 150000
Color: yellow
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (US State/Canada/Int): NJ

I have logged on as expo1, but I'm not him and I'm not sure I'm doing this right. He tragically passed away and I'm selling his car. The body and interior are in flawless condition with countless performance upgrades including, but not limited to, stainless steel brake lines, roll bar, 5 point racing harness, performance gages, performance exhaust, strut tower, and others. The car comes with an extra set of wheels and tires for winter use, and I'll throw in the racing slicks, RX8 club flag, duffle bag, etc.
The catch is the 10-1 compression engine is shot and needs to be replaced. This automobile has been lovingly maintained by a man who was passionate about his car, spared no expense with it, and you would never guess it didn't just roll off the showroom floor.
Serious inquires only email me at aprilrose@comcast.net.

We should save this thread for the sale of the car.

A Memorial thread has been started in the Lounge that we could send to the family.

Awesome. He was more OCD than I was about his car so I am sure it is in great shape.

Done... it is in my trailer. it will either get the engine out of my current RX8 or hopefully a V8 conversion.

I will keep the board updated. I am pretty sure i am going to head down the V8 road if I can get a local guy who is pretty good at that stuff to do it.

since someone just referenced this thread in a different thread........ EXPO's car had a new engine put in for almost $6k (it needed an new intake manifold to) at Faulkner Mazda in Harrisburg and has been my son's car since then. My son loves the car... we had the windows tinted, front and rear mazda OEM spoilers installed... besides that i think it is pretty much like it was when i bought it.

ya... hindsight is 20:20...i would have gotten a used engine/ tranny for $3k instead if i could turn back time..... i was originally quoted about $4500 for the engine and labor but then the intake manifold was another $1500ish...... blaaaa... i have way too much $ into the car.....

I'm curious about what the car looks like now, I was still a new member trying to get myself acquainted with the forum when expo1(R.I.P.) have passed away.

looks pretty much the same but with front and rear spoilers... this pic is before the tint... He wanted to lower it but that is too much $$$ for a college kid to afford and I have more than enough $ into the car...
