NJ Fs: 2004 rx-8

Asking $11,500, manual transmission with 46,000 miles, one owner (me), factory nav, with cloth interior, nordic green. Located in central NJ near New Brunswick.

All oil changes and mechanical work has been done at the dealership i got it at (hamilton NJ) and I can give every service report they have on record. They have been great to me and cover everything I bring them under warranty. I have had both tail lights replaced because of moisture and they have been water free since replacement (over a year now). The interior is in very good shape (never smoked in), it has the standard RX-8 rattle in a few places but it is not bad. Never had any starting problems. It has been a great car and I have taken really good care of her.

I have installed the following interior electronics: auto dim mirror, foot well led's (red), ipod hook up into the cd player (audio link), and hardwired passport radar hook up. All were done using DIY section on this site. I can get the names for all the exact hardware if you would like.

Installed cosmetics: clear corners (still have originals you can have), changed out running light to white LED and fogs to white LED and tinted back window and rear windows to 15% (i think) front are not tinted because of NJ laws.

Installed mechanical: axial flow short shifter (thing is awesome BTW) and vented rotors (racing brake 1 piece) with hawk pads.

That is just about everything about her, if you are interested and have questions feel free to PM me. I still have all the original parts if you would like them instead of the after market parts. I also have a flip key that I got and programmed.

Little video walk through in the snow I just uploaded:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0f8P9_idAbA

Sorry for the dirty pics, I will update them when I can stand in my yard (f$%*ing snow)(added on photo from the summer I found on my old phone)

maybe a little high for a quick sale, but should still be able to sell it at that price, try local ads as well.

On here we get a lot of good deals for rx8s like 10k for an 04 or even lower

Yes...it's too high...too too too too high. If this were 3000 less, I'd be all over it...just like everyone else. :

I just have to share my used car looking experience today, I am looking to possibly move onto a used Toyota Tacoma v4 4x4, the basic going rate is between 13 and 18K depending on bells and whistles. I go to my local Toyota dealer and ask the kind sales associate about the 2007 v4 4x4 sitting in the lot. We talk a bit test drive a bit and then go back to talk some more... Asking price is 18,990 a bit much for my blood so I ask about trade in value for my RX-8, he goes off to the back room to talk with whomever and brings me back an offer for $6,400!!! I laugh in his face and inform him a VW dealership offered me $8,600 about 2 hours earlier without even looking at my car... A short end to this story I did not except his generous offer and we parted ways.

Side note: While discussing how the high price includes Toyotas warranty and how Toyotas retain high value because of their reliability; at that exact moment the radio in the show room starts discussing how the fixes to the recalled vehicles are not working and Toyota is in big trouble. I could not control my laughter!!!

Thanks and since I got it from Hamilton imports (Mazda/VW) they will give me top dollar for the trade in I may be able to get 9k or more for my standard 8... I would still like it if someone just bought it here instead haha.
