*SOLD* FS - 2004 GT VR Turbo 8 15.6K miles
*SOLD* *SOLD* *SOLD*
Hey all,
FS - 2004 VR GT Turbo RX8 (6spd). All the work was completed at KDR in PA. I have all the original receipts and documentation on every component. The car drives great...like it came from the factory this way.
Car is in Indianapolis, IN. 15,600 miles on the odometer
Modifications as follows:
Greddy Turbo and Intercooler kit w/ E-manage
Greddy Blow Off Valve
Mazdaspeed carbon fiber strut tower brace
Mazdaspeed Front Sway Bar
Mazdaspeed Rear Sway Bar
Greddy Cat Back Exhaust
Bonez Clutch
Stainless Steel Clutch Hose
ACT Streetlite Flywheel
It's a GT package, red/black leather, 6spd., sunroof, DSC, heated seats, single CD and rotary accents. On the stock 18s I have a set of Dunlop Wintersport M3s (from my last 8) and I also have a set of 19x8.5/19x9.5 Volk GT-Vs (Gunmetal w/ polished lip) with 235/265 tires and black Rays lugs (all have <1000 miles). I have a daily driver car, so it hasn't seen snow. I have pictures available if anyone is interested. It's a great car and reminiscent of my last FD. I can be reached at rxrot@msn.com...if you have any questions/concerns, feel free.
Asking price: $23,000 with Volks, $21,000 without.
Regards,
Gavin

direct quote from the stickied FS/WTB guidlines:
"Please no thread crapping, if you think something is over priced the seller will usually figure this out pretty quickly."
im sorry but i see way too many people abusing this rule.

But good luck getting your asking price. it may help to say why you're selling, as many people have been dumping their 8s after adding turbos for a number of reasons.

Mugtatu. Go find something better to do.
$24K for a turbo? Cheap in my book. Turbo owners need to be prepared for the maintenance they need.

This is why I dont like selling things on here.... You always have some jerk try to offer you considerably less than you asked for, or comment on what a crappy deal it is. If you dont think its a good deal... then dont buy it. If you want to negotiate send a PM. If you have a shitty comment to say... keep it to yourself!
Hey Mods.. how bout cleaning this thread up???... and warn Mr Thread Crapper to shut his hole...

Lot of crap in here....
Look, Flyboy is right. If you don't think it is an appropriate price, there are more tactful ways to approach the situation. The only notion I can conjure as to why someone would attack an individual's asking price in such a derrogatory manner is that, for some reason, they just do not want to see the person get that much money for it. Why that is, I do not know. I have my theories, but I will keep them to myself.
As for you, Gavin, for whatever reason you are selling, I hate to see one of our number drop from the ranks of 8 owners. However, I do wish you the best in getting your asking price and in choosing another vehicle that suits you better.
I would like to echo the request made that the crap be cleansed in this hall. My boots are getting dirty from all the poorly written, grammatically-challenged hogwash flooding the area. And it stinks. Phew.

RxRot,
Might be helpful to post some dyno details or at least your assumption of HP to flywheel and/or rear wheels so people know how much faster this is than stock 232HP.
Best of luck with your sale.

Sorry for the late response.
I have dyno sheets from just before the turbo install. The car put down 196.1 with the exhaust, flywheel and a midpipe (which is not currently on the car). With the turbo, I'd say ~250RWHP or more.
Beyond that, I'm going to drop the car $22,500. If I receive no interest, I will remove the turbo kit and sell the two separately.
Regards,
Gavin
