Put in a new motor (factory reman) @ 135k. Only about 10K on the new motor. Runs amazingly strong, very smooth, no issues with drivetrain or engine. About 10K on the new engine. Engine replacement was done by Lucky 7 Racing in Duarte. They charged me over $6k for the job. Still, I'm quite happy the engine is solid, and I planned to run it down to the ground. I would not be selling it if I was staying here but I'm moving abroad, so the car has to go. It has only been a supplemental car since getting a new sports car in 2010.. But enough about that.


Now.. You ask, what are the problems?


1. Disabled the Power steering, shortly after the engine was replaced. Lucky Seven Racing said it was due to the Power Steering harness connector. Anyway, they reseated the harness and it worked again for a while, but then stopped working. I replaced the harness with anew one but the problem still persisted, so for safety reasons I decided to leave the PS disabled and have been driving perfectly fine without it ever since. Buyer willbe asked to provided a signed statement acknowledging the have been informed of this power steering issue and that driving the car with, or without it will be at their own risk, and that I will not be held accountable for that decision, for anything arising from the drive's inability to steer the car without power assist. Not everyone is strong enough drive without power steering. Further I do not recommend enabling the power steering without having it fully looked at and fixed by a certified mechanic, and that failure to do so will be at their own risk.

2. Emissoins: Could use a secondary air pump as it sometimes throws a code, but it's not needed for the car to perform as designed. The Secondary Air Pump is intended to warm the cat system during startup to reduce emissions (or something along those lines). I've never had a problem passing smog, as you can just clear it and drive it for a bit so the car is TEST-READY to pass smog. The secondary air pump is easily accessible as it is right at the top of the engine bay and can be swapped out with a new one.

3. Drive side door lock solenoid is either weak or the mechanisms need to be lubricated or loosened, as keyless entry sometimes fails to lock the driver side door. No problem unlocking the car though. . As such have resorted to always just use the physical key to lock the car to ensure the car is locked and security system is armed.

4. cracked rear lamp housing, from a parking lot accident. Body suffered minimal damage but rear lamp housing broke. Light still works fine, even in rain. I had purchased a new set of rear brake lamp assemblies but never had time to put it on.

Fairly minor issues, as I happily drive this car every day and it feels like new, sans powersteering, of course Shifter is smooth and precise. Plenty of life on the clutch as I have never abused it. AC blows cold, heated seats, satnav, power mirrors, trunk remote, unlock, electric roof hatch, windows, bose cd/MP3 player stereo, all work well.

I have two sets of wheels, original and aftermarket. Currently fronts are original wheels, and rears are aftermarket (better tire condition). Both sets are included in the sale.
