^^ Then you should have bought them^^

Kelly's Blue values it at $31k retail and $29k private.

2005 RX8 prices

This price is way high. I looked at a brand new 2005 RX8 with all options except Nav and they priced it to me at $25,999. This was with no miles and full warrenty.

Your car may be worth $24-$25k at most.
Good luck.

First off, a couple things.

The forum rules state the following:

"Please no thread crapping, if you think something is over priced the seller will usually figure this out pretty quickly."

Then I took it a step further and asked please not to post on the thread if you didn't like the price.

Next I stated that the price starts at $30 and the price is NEGOTIABLE.

Not one reply gave any hint at all that anyone was interested in purchasing this car, but was rather everyones $0.02 that they thought the price was too high. READ the add, its very complete.

Trying to make a profit off a new used car?? Are you crazy? I paid over $30k for the car. I like most people financed the car and did not pay cash. So how in the world could I possibly MAKE money off this??

I checked Kelly's several months ago and my results were $31k retail and $29k (I rounded, more like 28,650) private. I went and checked again today, and the prices are lower by roughly $2K. $28,815.00 retail and private seller is at $26,310.00. You must check ALL the options available that this car has (which is everyting). Simply plugging in 04 rx-8 will yield you significantly less retail price (DUH!).

So, thanks for the bumps.

And yes, as I've stated in the original post the price is negotiable.

Also as stated in the original post, the car is LOADED and theres not one scratch, ding or blemish in or on it. If you find better deals, I say go for it! I'm not in a hurry to sell this car.

Please once again, no trolling or pipe dreamers. The price is flexable, make me an offer via EMAIL or PM.

Don't worry about the comments. Sounds like a great car for someone if they are looking for a nice used '04. It's better to start too high and come down then short change yourself by starting too low. If the weather was better right now and I was ready to buy an RX-8 right now I'd be giving you a call. If I decide to sell my '04 S4 this spring I'll be looking for an RX-8 like yours.

CyberDog,

thanks for the compliment. Yeah, the car is cherry and loaded. I think people read through the post to quickly and don't realise the car only has 2,700 miles, NOT 27K, but 2K on it.

1. Immaculant huh? Dictionary.com is your friend dude. Say hello to your friend.

2. Your car is worth $26K at best. And that's if you have the spare tire kit and the appearance/accent pkgs. Right now you can get a brand new '05 with ALL the options available for $28-29K. Your car wouldn't be worth $30K if it had zero miles on it.

That price will only scare serious bidders away as they will think you are way too off base to even negotiate with. Try being a little more realistic with your expectations. Check out some of the other listings on this site if you don't believe me.

Just tryin to help you out bud. If you really ask me though, you should just keep your nice new 8, rather than give it away at the market prices they're going for used.

It is obvious the guy has a major loan balance because he didn't pay anything down. Never do that with a new car! It is way over-priced and I'm sure he doesn't lose his *** by having to pay so much after it is sold. If you are dumb enough to make a bad deal/ put nothing down, live with the car for a few years till the lown is lower and you can break even. Don't get ticked because others point out your porr situation. It comes across like you are trying to dump a bad deal on someone else

Assumption is a mother f&cker.

Who the hell said I wouldn't take $26k??

Starting price of $30, offer me $22.. see were it takes us.

The price is negotiable you ******, how many damn times must I say that? And NO I don't owe much left on this ride at all. So don't tell me how to purchase a car or assume how I purchased it. For your information (like it freakin matters) I paid a rather sizable down payment and have less then a 4% interest rate. And how the hell is this a bad deal for anyone else if they buy it from me for say 25~27K??? The car is PERFECT. These cars cost a lot more when they first came out then they do now. I'm not trying to make money, but I damn sure am not going to give the car away. Anyone interested in a NEW car for a USED price would be very satisfied purchasing this car. It has near NO miles on it. And those who keep quoting new cars get your damn facts straight... a car that has ALL the options (NAV, DVD, LEATHER ETC ETC ETC) COST MORE PERIOD so stop quoting base models. Stay the hell of my thread unless you’re interested in the car, and if you truly were you'd throw a number at me not ridicule my first figure.

Not one of you jerks are interested in buying an 8. If you truly were, you'd simply shoot me a PM or email me asking what I'm really looking to get or give me an offer. You jerks are trolls looking to give your holy Rx-8 resale knowledge were it’s not needed.

I am in NO way in a hurry to get rid of this car.

For the last time......price is negotiable as it has been from day 1. STAY THE HELL OFF MY THREAD unless you are looking for a cherry car at a reasonable price.

And yes, it does have the exterior accent package also.

BTW, adding smilies and the word "bud" doesn't hide the fact that you guys are being ****** to someone simply posting a for sale add. WHY?? Why must you be such ******? Never mind, don't answer... you'll just cluster f&ck my thread up more. If you were truly trying to be helpful, why start off the thread poking at spelling and grammar? A simple, "hey man, you might get more hits if your price was $XXk"? But even then your throwing uneeded replies, but at least you wouldn't come accross as such a d!ck. But no, you have an ego problem and like to be a ***** hiding behind your computer. I am the seller..... I start high and work low..... the sellers' job is to start low and work high.. Get it? Its really that simple, I know it might be hard for some to grasp.

Geez. With responses like this from the seller, who would really want to buy this car?

Seriously, lighten up. I would have taken the mention that the price was too high as friendly advice. Don't be so defensive -- Honey attracts more flies than vinegar. I'd much rather buy a car from an even-tempered person than one who gets set off to the point of foul language (no, using "&" does not negate this fact any more than smiley faces negate the others' comments) by responses which are fairly typical in a seller/buyer forum.

Is it final or negotiable? Your quote above seems a bit confusing.

With that said tho, I think $24K is a very good price for you car if it still has only 3K miles.
