I didn't think you would take it, but at the same time this is probably the number you are going to get from a dealership at trade in or if you need a quick sale at places carmax. The black book value is 14000-16000. If they give you anything more, it's probably from margin at the sale price of the vehicle.

Good luck trying to sell anything for Edmunds or KBB in this market, I just lost $3K on selling my other car. KBB was 30K, Edmunds was 29K, I ended up getting high $26s.

 

That's why I made the disclaimer that I wasn't trying to lowball him, I told him that was what I am willing to spend, not saying he couldn't get more for it. I told him to keep the fancy wheels as that's like a few hundred dollars.

Actually, when I sold my stock wheels, I met a guy in CT, he was coming from NJ.
