Enthusiast owned. I have owned this car for about 4 years and it's been great. The coolant seals went bad at 90K miles, so I pulled the motor and rebuilt it with NEW rotor housings, new apex seals, springs, side seals, etc. I replaced every gasket and seal including the coil control rings. I have enjoyed this car and it's been to SevenStock 2 times, and 3 other trips to California and back. I would have no hesitation to drive this car cross country. Always premixed with Idemitsu rotary premix. I will try to list all the work and modifications I have done. Recent compression test as seen in the pictures. OEM navigation, Bose stereo, cruise, heated seats, HID projector headlights. On highway road trips going 75-80mph I actually average about 24mpg or so, likely because of the midpipe. ICE cold AC! I replaced the drier when I had the engine out.

Engine - OEM build with original rotors but new internals including new bearings and new rotor housings. Throttle body coolant blocked off. Racing Beat midpipe (not loud at all, has OEM sound level), Versatuner to edit maps and other parameters (will come with car). I modified the fan tables so the fans come on stronger sooner, they also run for 10 mins or so after shutdown if the engine bay temp sensor triggers. I added a second RX8 series 2 oil cooler and modified them with FD thermostats (RX7 oil cooler thermostats open 50 degrees sooner than RX8), the car sheds heat very easily on the freeway thanks to the new radiator and water pump and coolant thermostat. You can cruise at 75MPH with the AC blasting in the AZ summer and the car does not run hot. Newer AGM battery, engine coolant tank replaced, new motor mounts, fuel injectors cleaned. Upgraded to the GM ignition coils.

Chassis - Car is basically stock minus the strut tower brace from the manual RX8 added for extra rigidity (automatic RX8 strut brace doesn't connect to the firewall), Added the gas cap holder (stock there is no holder at all!) I added a scangauge to monitor coolant temps, trans fluid temps, voltage etc, Pros - As reliable as an RX8 can be with only about 8K on a fresh overhauled engine. Handles great and is fun to drive. Ice cold AC, recent spark plug change, recent oil change with conventional 20W-50 oil. NO LEAKS anywhere. Great headlights for night driving. Cons- clearcoat failing on roof, top of spoiler and trunk, some dings on the body, the tint should be redone on the 4 front windows, the rear window is fine. Starts strange but the compression is good. No vacuum leaks, the last time I drove it to Sevenstock, it started fine the entire time in CA but then when I got back to AZ it returned. Always starts, never dies. This is a fun car to daily drive, will make your commute a little more tolerable. Stereo sounds good too. Selling because I am out of room for cars and I have an FD.
