Due to having to relocate for a lengthy work term, I decided to put my RX-8 for sale.

It is in overall good condition. Interior is very clean while the exterior shows some light scratches and chips, but nothing major. There are no accidents with this car. I have it garaged when parked at home as well.

Mechanically, I maintain the car with 5000km oil changes and regular premixing. The last oil change is fairly recent, with brake fluid replaced this April. Tires are also very new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s. All the receipts I have for the two years I owned the car are available.

There are no mechanical mods on the car. Factory catalytic converter was put back on a little while ago. It has some light interior/electrical mods like the Autoexe steering wheel, floor lights, backup sensors, and the rear fog light.

I will also include:

- 10 1L bottles of Idemitsu Premix

- Full set of winter rims + tires. Tires are Michelin Crossclimate purchased last November and have about 5000km on them.

It currently has ~108,500km(67.4k miles) on it. It's slowly going up as I am driving it, but I expect it to be at less than 110k km(68.4k miles) when you take delivery. These are all local BC mileage; it is never taken outside of BC.

As for the compression results, I had it done just last Thursday.

Rotor 1: 103 104 108 psi @ 273 RPM
Rotor 2: 105 100 103 psi @ 276 RPM

Altitude is about 11m(36 ft)

It is not the best, just hovering about the pass line with the exception of the second face of rotor 2, but there are no driveability problems or any CEL whatsoever. It still starts quickly hot or cold, so I'd think one could get more mileage out of it before a reman is needed.

Price is in CAN$, so about US$7700 if any US buyers are interested. Price is negotiable.

AFAIK, this interior and exterior combo actually do not exist in the US, according to the 09 RX-8 brochure PDF I have.

It goes well with the exterior.

Be wary, this screams fake poster/scammer (0 posts, full 'real' name as user, and generic 'car' reference).

GLWS, it is a strange color combo, but a very good looking car. Seems a lot of RX-8's are changing hands as of late, especially the S2's. A bit sad; I'd like to change RX-8's as well, but only for a better model than my current one -- planning to stick with the model for a long while.

I have sold cars privately before so I am aware of the scams. Thanks for the concern, though. It's actually very weird that I got a lot of scammers from AutoTrader, but not on CL or anywhere else.

And yeah, this is probably a Canadian colour combo or something custom ordered.

I agree it's sad, and I will miss it dearly, but then again, life happens and I have to leave things behind. Someone keeps saying I should turbocharge it, but I wouldn't do that for 2 main reasons:

- Vancouver cops are very **** now about car mods. If your car sounds too loud subjectively, they can give you a VI for that. Even on the island, it's happened to a guy before with his stock Corvette.

- Never really a fan of turbocharged cars. Less reliability and turbo lag make me think twice about them.
