Automatic or Manual?
original engine? Recalls performed?

 

It is an automatic. Has the original engine. No recalls. Will post some photos this weekend.

 

2005's were all recalled. Did you have the recall performed? I figured I'd ask these questions since most buyers here will wanna know. Just trying to help.

 

I have been to the Mazda owners web site where my vehicle is registered with its VIN number and it states no recalls on this vehicle. I also just called my dealer where it was purchased and has been served since I bought it in July 2005 and told no recalls. I did a google search and see that they did recall 2005's.

Since the Shinka was a special edition it must not have been part of the recall. I am not sure where else to check to make sure it was not recalled other than the owners web site and the Mazda dealer.

Yes, the '05 Shinka Was in the "hard start" voluntary emission recall; Campaign 4206F. Related Tech Service Bulletin 01-004/05 issued 01 Dec 05 "engine cranks no start."

In my case I already had the new starter and battery (30 March 05 build) so I just got the flash update.

The owner's web site will only reflect what was done if the owner him/herself enters the data.

The dealer should have the accurate insight based on VIN.
