I'm selling my car, I am the original owner. The reason for selling it is that it suffers from the hot start problem although sometimes it starts right up even though the engine is hot. The catalytic converter is shot so I punched it out to get the car to run so it needs a cat. i have not had the compression tested on the engine to see if the hot start is due to low compression. In January, when I know the warranty was still valid, I tried to get it checked out under warranty but because the cat was blown the Mazda dealerships I contacted wanted me to replace that first, I don't have $1200 and my search here for a used cat has been fruitless.

The car is whole, it has the typical wear you would expect on a daily driver, it was my main car since I purchased it. I would keep it and fix it if I could but I dont have the space nor the money to do any of that. I like this car so much more than my 350Z but the 350Z is running fine and this one is not.

Second main issue with the car. It has low clutch pedal engagement and I cant figure out why. I took it to Mazdatrix last year to replace the clutch and they couldn't figure it out or they simply didn't want to bother. In any case, the car has a new clutch and is driveable as long as you remember that the clutch engages really low in the stroke.

I don't know if my asking price is high or low but if you feel it's high and are interested make me an offer. If you want more details feel free to ask.

Registration is current but expires in July, I will register is a PNO soon. I have the pinkslip, the car is owned free and clear.

This a great deal for someone, if you do put a cat on, ($1,200).
$5,700, get the engine replaced under warranty, and resell for $7,700.

Why hasn't this sold yet?

Thanks guys, there is still a remaining warranty on the car. It expires in 6/2014 or 100k miles whichever comes first.

Do you have oil change records, Maintenance records?

How are the brakes, when were the pads changed?

what is the condition of the tires and wheels?

Has your car had ANY body work, repainting done to it?

Could you post some engine compartment and trunks pictures?

Hell Digger, I will paste a reply I wrote to someone else because it will cover most of your questions.

A few things you ought to know. The car was rear ended two years ago, it wasn't bad, no frame damage and it was the bumper cover that took the brunt of the damage. The car was professionally repaired, my insurance company took care of it all.

I don't have any maintenance paperwork, I never held onto the oil change invoices because I never planned to sell the car. Most all oil changes were performed at Long Beach Mazda and a few at a local oil change business that has gone out of business.

The car is missing the rear 6x9 speakers and tweeters. I used to have a sound system. The original speakers had blown by the time I performed the sound system install so I did not hold onto them I have reinstalled the front speakers and factory head-unit.

It does have and come with the spare tire kit although it's not installed in the trunk. The brakes were replaced about 2000 miles ago, and most of my driving is freeway driving so brakes would last me a long time. The car has a brand new battery, it's an Optima Yellow Top, my favorite, I have one in my Z as well.

Tires are not new but they arent worn out, I would say they still have a few thousand miles on them.

There are a couple dings in the body and I will try to photograph them. I think there are 2 small door dings total. One small windshield rock chip.
