CA 2004 Turbo 8 (auto) San Diego CA

Year: 2004
Make: Mazda
Model: RX-8
Price: $5000
Mileage: 50000
Color: Black/Red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (US State/Canada/Int): CA

RX8Club,

Selling a Black on red 2004 turbo (auto) with 50k+ miles on it for 5,000 in cash. I now have the title and was just registered 30 days ago. Although it won't pass smog during the next checkup due to the turbo.

The Turblown unit has a few thousand miles on it or less with Cobb tuned by Jeff at Mazda Maniac. It runs fine minus hot starting issue. I wait 15 minutes before trying to start the car again due to what I think is injectors staying on too long after shut down and flooding the engine. It made 250rwp @7-8psi eyeballing the boost gauge.

Price of Turblown kit and accessories alone are worth more than the car. This will make an excellent parts car or track car and can save you a grip of money if you were going that route. I wish I had.

Pros:
-100 rwp more than stock
-Plenty of room for 300+rwp (tranny limiting)
-As quiet as stock at idle and cruise, no droning at all
-Premixing may eliminate the issue with current pre 2009 Rotary design
-Faster than a 6spd

Cons:
-Transmission slow to shift and annoying (recommend Level10) or go manual.
-Runs hotter than stock in stop and go and I can feel the water vapor (steam) coming out of the overflow during spirited driving in 90 degree heat.
-Won't pass visual
-Loud (from wastegate) at WOT which is a little F&F for my tastes
-You have to premix
-Faster than a six speed but still slower than a minivan

Chris @ Turblown custom fits them to the vehicle before shipping. See pictures
