Hello Rx8 Community!

I've been trying to sell this rx8 (grand touring package) for a few months now. I live in Indiana so I thought how could I reach a broader audience of rx8 enthusiasts and came straight here.

I am the third owner, and even though the car has damage, the title is clean!

The car is nordic green mica, and as any rx8 enthusiast knows, that is the last year Mazda produced this color. The grand touring package includes all power functions, upgraded speaker system by BOSE, 18in wheels, and possibly best of all, heated seats! The interior is in GREAT condition. Orange and black leather with a professionally installed aftermarket head unit that takes advantage of the BOSE speakers.

That being said, the car has a few exterior cosmetic issues, and the engine has a low idle issue. I have tried to diagnose it myself but I just cant afford to have a professional look at it. The car starts, runs, and drives (short distances.) which means shipping would need to be organized.

Have you checked to see if its throwing any codes?

 

I have and it didn't come up with anything that could be related. I haven't checked the codes in a little while though. Shouldn't be the coils because I relaxed those a few years ago. Could be a computer issue with oxygen levels causing the low idle, or it could be a seal issue.

 

to be honest op the 04 automatic rx8 is the one everyone runs away from and the bumper, fender and body damage is not going to help your sale. you should figure out whats wrong with it and maybe part it out. the 4 port motors are expensive so if you get it srtaightened out and comp test it it could possibly be worth more than what you are asking for your car, i said could

 

If it was a 6spd, I'd buy the car tomorrow. The auto kills it for me bud. Good luck with the sale though.

 

This looks nearly identical to one that I tried to purchase last night, except for the fact that it was a 6 speed and did not have any body damage. There was a rough spot in the paint on the driver side front bumper, but it was not that noticeable.

It was also a Grand Touring Package model, with the heated power two tone leather seats, etc.

This sale was in Indiana, right across from Louisville, KY.

I think the final bid on it was $4800 (which I am pretty sure was a steal by the way, but just out of my budget), just to give you some perspective.
