Zanio'd my 8. Pics inside. 2 hours total

Ok I just did my first Zanio on my 8. It took me 2 hours from start to finish. I didn't use the clay bar (just plain ol dawn) and I only did one coat of Z2 and the Z6 spray finish.

30 mins to wash with dawn dishsoap and towel dry.
30 mins to apply Z2 (with ZFX)
40 minutes drinking a beer waiting for z2 to dry
20 minutes "buffing" the z2 (it came off easy, not like a wax)
10 minutes applying Z6

It looks great!!!

The sun was setting so the light wasn't good for pictures. I'll take some tomorrow. Directions were easy to follow and the results are superb. It was so easy I'm thinking about adding a few more coats tomorrow.

Here's one pic I was able to take before the sun set.

I've read that the Z6 spray can be a pain. It seems you found it pretty easy if it only took 10 minutes. Is the trick keeping the amount sprayed very light?

I'll be doing my first Zaino Saturday morning. I never been so excited to was my car!

Yes very light. I had a breeze that helped mist it across the car, and I was very conservative with it (as per the directions). I also used a large dry bath towel and it seemed to come right off without any residuals.

Thanks for the heads up. I picked up six Fieldcrest large bath towels (100% USA cotton recommended by Zaino) to use. Between the washing and buffing I think they will do.

The towels I use to dry my car are three times as expensive as the ones I use for me... :D

Heh. I'll be picking up some nice cotton towels this week too. Zaino kit should be here in 2-3 days and then my littl wcar gets coated!

I also ordered an extra claybar to do my fiance's G20, since Scott Infiniti are a bunch of ******* and wont admit the crappy paint on the car is defective and it's already suffering BADLY after barely a year. I REALLY hope Zaino works to help protect this cause it's sad to see a car look like crap after so little time.

Their excuse? it's the bird droppings ruining the paint. I told them they where full of ****, as bird droppings that sit on the car no more than 2-3 days will NOT make the paint literally fall off, but they are sticking to their guns on this. I'll end up suing them yet. Cant beleive they wouldnt admit it and take care of it especially since my Fiance's family has bought 6 cars (all 20K and up) from then in the past 6 years. Guess my father in law isnt buying an Inifniti anymore (he likes the RX-8 a lot BTW)

If you dont have a garage and plan to put more coats on the car next day, what do you do?

Do you wash the car all over again? How do you folks clean the surface again? Sometimes, overnight, stuff gets on the car, no?

Well funny you should ask, I just put on 2 more coats today (about 4 days later) Yes I did a quick wash before applying more Z.

Looks good, Kuf. But man, I just put two coats of Zaino on my new blue baby, and it took me all day. I did the Dawn wash, claying, Z7 wash, then 2 coats Z2 with Z6 after both.

I thought I was going to put 3 coats on the car, but I'm beat. It does look good, though! I will probably post pics tomorrow.

This is the first time I've used Zaino and I am very impressed with the results. I hope it lasts as long as advertised.
