Zaino & Rain
Add one more believer here!
Spent a few hours doing the following process:
1. Dawn liquid car wash + drying - (1 hour)
2. Clay bar with water+Z7 solution - (1 hour)
3. Z7 car wash + drying - (1 hour)
4. Z2 with ZFX - (1 hour)
5. Rest and wait - (2 hours)
6. Remove Z2 layer - (15 minutes)
7. Z6 ..... pending
Results were great at this point thats why I am a believer! It started raining as soon as I started Z6....duh
Question for Zaino experts on the board: what do you suggest since it rained before my Z6?
Option #1: Continue with Z6 next time with another coat of Z2?
Option #2: Z7 car wash + Z2 + Z6?
Option #3: Z7 car wash + clay + Z2 + Z6?

Option 2. Definitely not Option #3 -- you don't want to claybar again. I am assuming it rained on your car. If not then Option #1. You need about 2 to 3 more coats of Z2 (with Z6 in between) for a nice deep Zaino shine :D

Yes it rained on my car after first Z2 coat and before I applied Z6. Options 2 should be fine then.
1. For those who have used Z5 how many coat does it need to get rid of moderately deep scratches?
2. How much time would you wait beween Z5 and a Z2 coat? 24 hrs?
3. Any suggestions for other scratch removing products/procedures?

Z5 is for light scratches and swirl marks -- a moderately deep scratch will really need to be buffed out. Z5 is great for filling the little marks but not made to really remove a deep scratch -- best to let a detail shop buff it out for you -- I wouldn't have them do the whole car -- just a few minutes to buff the one scratch.

ALso, using ZFX means you dont have to wait to take it off. Just apply on the entire car then when yer done, remove in the same order you aplied it.

does this mean I can apply Z5, Z6 (and take it off of course)... wait a few minutes and then apply Z2, Z6 again? Dont these 'layers' need some curing time before you apply another one?

Not if you use ZFX. Thats the whole point of an "accelerator". Way I do it is I put on a Z2 layer (with ZFX) starting at the top, then the hood, rear and sides. When I am done putting it on, I immediately start to remove it from the top, hood. rear and sides.
I always remove Z2 BEFORE aplying Z6. Z6 is a finisher and Z2 or Z5 should be removed before aplying it for best results.
BTW< Bottle recomnds 3 layers per 24 hour period as best. So 3 layers of Z2/Z5 and 3 layers of Z6 is the most for a day

I always use the Z6 before each coat and inbetween. Makes it go on and come off easier. I did 2 each of Z2 & Z5 on the first day, then 2 more Z2 the next. Great stuff.

I do a very light mist and wipe off right away also doing a small area at a time. I bought several large 100% cotton bath towels for this and removing the zaino. I even zaino all my glass.

So I guess the best thing to do is to start with Z2 with the new car and when we start noticing some scratches and swirls, hit it with a few coats of Z5 to get rid of them, am I right ?
