Hey everyone I was just wondering, if I just had my car repainted because of some A-hole that ding my car, will Zaino harm the new clear coat if its only been one week?

 

I think most paint manufacturers recommend waiting 30 days. Did you ask the people where you got it painted? They know what kind of paint they used.

 

they said the samething. I guess i'm just really happy to wash and wax my car. This sucks, curse that guy who kicked my car

 

I called Sal Zaino when I had a bumper repaired on my last car (younger sister just happened to want to bounce of my car with hers, you know how that goes) and he said to wait 5-7 days to let it cure and then you can Zaino it. Since Zaino doesn't have any silicones, and most waxes will not let the paint breathe either which are what will hurt young paint then it will not harm it, I did as he said and waited a week and then Zainoed, the whole car with that bumper and never had any problems and everything looked good. Oh by the way I might wait a little longer if your paint was not baked on like mine, it will be softer if that is the case.
