I usually let my wax "cure" for at least 15mins, but you could leave it on as long as you like, provided it's in the shade and won't be disturbed.

It's a Cavalier
Looks like ****.
You can't see the car anymore because it's reflecting all the trees, clouds, utility poles, houses, mini vans, strip malls... throw some mud on it or scuff it up a bit. Those reflections are distracting.

First off sorry guys for the late reply, I have been without internet for a little while now. I tried replying through my iphone but that was a disaster and could only reply to pms.
Anyway... yeah.
Website is currently in the works. Glad you liked the write up.
Thanks!!!!
I agree.
It can be pretty rewarding and a stress reliever if you get into it.
A job like this generally runs from $500-$1200.
Definitely.
Your welcome, I'm glad you got some tips.
Yes NXT2.0 is great and what's good about sealants is they last longer.
When your finished with nxt try out some other sealants like Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Trigger, Zaino Z2, and Blackfire Wet Diamond.
LOL, I'm only human.
Thanks!
Say please, and call me Uncle to.
lol 2 bucket method seems to fly over most peoples head.
The owner works downtown in a building where they have one of those handwash spots in the underground parking lot and the employees are paid $10/hr.
We'll make arrangements.
You should let it settle from 15min - 30min so that it can properly cure, and then wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. I just ended up doing it for an hour because I was doing other things on the car while the wax was curing like cleaning windows, metal mufflers, dressing tires, etc.
Thank you!!!!!
Thanks!
Very sexy!
I use a Makita 9227 and a Flex 3401.
lol, I feel the same way.
Thanks!!!!!
That sounds like a RATED R ICON, lol.
Cheers
I couldn't even begin to list off all the different places but if you want a good start check Autopia.
I love black done properly.
What he said.
HAHAHAHA, that is one of the best replies I have read in awhile.
Thanks.
Yes 91% is good enough with distilled water.
Thanks!

Excellent work. I did pick up a few tips, thanks. The two bucket washing method... duh, why didn't I think of that? I just use one of those bucket inserts that reduce the water swishing around the bucket.
Might I ask why such a great car was subjected to such unrelenting abuses in the first place? Looks like the owner dropped his washing mitt on the ground and just picked it up and kept scrubbing... ouch!

Okay AND I recently got a Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood, since the coat that comes on it is a Clear 'Gel' Coat idk what type of wax to use. I used Meguiars 3-Step but the first step kinda scared me since it grabbed and or what seemed to dry to it VERY fast and I felt uncomfortable to leave it on, i didnt want to ruin my hood. How often should I wax it and what type of wax/method can you recommend for this type of hood? Any info would help ALOT, im just worried about waxing my hood, I want it to look clean while being protected from the elements. Thanks

I concur.
I concur also.
Okay so Wes are you saying that Sealants should be used for lighter car colors like my WWP correct (just making sure)?

Yes sealants look better on lighter colored cars because they have better reflective properties where as carnuba waxes give a nice glow that can be seen on darker colored car but is lost on light colored cars.
For your hood it is just the same you can apply any wax or sealant of your choice. I have polished many carbon fibre hoods, trunks, roofs, etc. and it is just the same. Not to familiar with the Megs 3 step but sealants like finish kare 1000p should have your hood well protected.

I found this http://www.autogeek.net/finish-kare-...p-wax-kit.html...
Which one should i use first? the wax or sealant? It says to use the sealant first dont you want to seal the wax???
So is this the correct steps : 1)Finish Kare 215 One Step Cleaner & Surface Sealant
2)Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax then 3)Finish Kare 425 Extra Slick Final Body Shine?
Or switch 1 and 2 then 3? Sorry, im a tad confused :/

lol I have driven to car meets through pouring rain with a freshly waxed car and when I got there my car was still gleaming clean while every one else's car looked filthy... the rain stopped by the way.
I'm glad you feel that way.
