Waxing and clear coats
I bought my 8 back in September of 03. Maybe a week after having it put one layer of Mother's Gold carnuaba wax on it by hand (I did not use a machine, I applied and then manually buffed in) 9 months later I have just waxed it again the same way.
Someone mentioned to be that waxing a brand new car too early can remove the clear coat. Any truth to this? I have always followed my father's lead who waxes his new cars with Mother's Gold wax immedietly. Thanks |
Old wives' tale. The paint is cured when it's baked at the factory. You're doing the right thing.

Feel much better. Thanks guys. I'm now debating doing a Zaino marathon on my car. Sure looks good, but 6-7 hours to do it? Geez.

Meguiars has treated me very well. I also liked Zymol. Both will do you no wrong if the Zaino insano solution ain't for ya.
