I would like to know the high level basics of car cleaning.

Basic questions:

1. What type of soap to use?
2. Waxing vs. polymer coating? What is the skill level required to do this right? Can you mess it up? What is the time required to do these right?
3. Zaino - how many products are under the Zaino name? I keep seeing a bunch of Z's.

These are probably answered somewhere in these hunderds of posts, but I figured with Spring here, this would be a useful thread.
