go to your local sign shop, they should be able to custom cut you adhesive vinyl that will smoke/blackout your side markers for less than you could order them. i went this route with the 3rd brake light. i paid $3.50 and waited 5 mins while they cut it for me, got a custom design that way too!

smoke spray paint, you just spray it on and wait til it dry.

theres alot off ways, i bought a light smoke out kit of ebay, I got a 2' x 3' sheet of thick tint, a sqeegy, and detailed intructions for like 7 bucks!!! I only used a small portion of that for side markers and I still have enough for any other lights I wanna smoke out!

I like the corners blacked out better than clear, it gos better with the 8's black trim, headlights, and taillights!!

happy modding and good luck!

I was thinking of doing this same thing!! So instead of buying clear corners couldn't I just smoke them out? the orange would give it a darker look anyways. maybe just replace it with a brighter bulb?White?

This member actually used colored vinyl to match the car color.

Just remember if you're doing this on clear corners that some of the aftermarket clear corners protrude out a bit from the car. They're not a smooth flat surface like the stock oranges are. Might make the vinyl application a little trickier.
