Scratched up one of my B-pillars...

This afternoon I was washing my car and I was trying to scrub off those damn water spots that got all over the b-pillars. Well I ended up using too much force with the terry cloth, and now one of my b-pillars looks like it was keyed. I realize it was only black tape that got scratched up, but it still looks like **** regardless.

I love destroying my own car.

If it looks that bad just remove them. Looks good on some colors IMO. I think NoTears removed his and it looks pretty good.

Put some CF ones on... thats what I did after I had my door buffed out and repainted. There were scratches on the pillars from sanding, so I bought some CF pillar garnishes on Ebay for $60 and they look great. Fitment isnt 100% but I still get compliments on them from time to time.
look on the bright side, new mod!

Yeah, they are just vinyl decals. You can buy a sheet of vinyl adhesive (the kind they use at sign shops) for pretty cheap. I bought a 3 by 3 sheet for $10 to do my hood (see signature).

I scratched by b-pillars too but haven't gotten around to replacing them. I imagine it's really simple. Peel the old one off, cut a new one to shape, peel and stick. Done.

Or you can do as others say and do the carbon fiber. That might be more durable.

I don't think carbon fiber b-pillars would look against bright *** yellow paint.

Are there any of those available that are just all piano black, without the "rx8" or rotary symbols on them?

Mazdaparts.com has them here but with "rx8" logo's and rotary symbols. Personally I was looking for something without the logos.

ok, I knew I had seen them, it just took awhile to find the link I had..

http://www.evo-r.net/product/RX-8/CFS/PB_B_pillar.htm

These are the plain black and they come with an emblem to put on yourself - or not. The only problem I see with them is they cost much more then other B-Pillars I have seen that say RX-8 on them.

It this does it for you then I am glad.

I have never bought from this company so I can't say one way or the other about thier service. Does anyone else know?

Good luck to you!
