Product to keep the exhaust tips clean?

Anyone know of any product that could help keep the exhaust tips clean? I'm tired of wiping them down practically ever day to keep them from turning black.

Go to Walmart and pick up some Neverdull. Works great. Comes in a silver can.

That stuff is great!! It is some sort of cotton-like fibers impregnated with a solution that just melts off the gunk. Makes the pipes look like new.

Another vote for Nevr Dull here. What is that stuff in those fibers anyway?

I have read where some folks use some kind of 'purple' oil that really eliminates the soot from forming?

if you wipe your exhaust with a towel daily before you drive off the soot on the tips really isn't that bad. I don't use anything special, but I make sure I wipe mine daily so it wouldn't dry up and settle.

Man! I haven't seen that stuff forever!
Never Dull has probably been around for 40+ years.
I used it while in the Navy (early 70's) to clean copper and brass.

After I wash my wheels with brake dust remover,
I use the same rag to clean my exhaust tips.
It works pretty good for me.

Yep, Nevr Dull is some good stuff. It gets those little specks of black that sometimes form o the outside of the tips off easily, too.

I've used that for ages aswell, I still have my original can from 10 years ago as a little goes a long way! It's also great for removing that tar that looks like silly string that gets on the bottom of the fenders at times, it takes it off in seconds then I follow with a soapy wash down. Doesn't matter how long that soot stays on the tail pipe it will take it off in no time.

And it is ridiculously cheap too. That is less than $0.50 per year for shiny clean chrome. No scrubbing required either.

Nevr-Dull On Wheels?

Has anyone tried using it on wheels to keep brake-dust off?

Yup, Never Dull is awesome. When I was in the Army we used it for just about everything from polishing the fire hose fittings in the hallways to the brass buttons on our uniforms. It works miracles for making any metal look new.

I used never dull until I tried Blue Magic metal polish. It makes them SHINE!!! I use it on all metal on my cars at shows.

Never dull is not powerful enough. Blue magic takes a little while longer but it works much better IMO.

^^^ i've used that too, but i've found that it leaves a coat that fuzzes up the shine. Maybe i'm not applying it right.

You have to rub it in until it hazes up and turns a dark grey to black color. Let it dry for a couple of mins and buff off. You may have to do it a couple of times if your pipes are really dirty.
