Preserve Acrylic paint, Restore enamel

Polish, ane Clay are enamel paint restoration products.

They are surface altering by design. Their idea of restoration is to alter the surface with abrasion to remove the original surface and replace it with a modified one.

Acrylic paint is thin and the actual shine is micro milimeters thin, It does not take much effort to ruin this baked on shine and it cannot be restored to it's original condition.

This alteration will leave the surface of your acryic paint permanently dull guaranteed.

The next step is to replace the original shine of the paint (which is now gone forever) with a degrading wax shine.
This wax shine is temporary and problematic. It will have to be buffed, removed and replaced several times in the life of a car.

If you start out using that process you will be stuck using it due to the damage it does to acrylic paint after the first use.

I would never tell anyone to go that route, My advice to anyone, when it comes to automotive acrylic paint.

AVOID ABRASIVES. AVOID ANYHING THAT INCREASES THE AMOUNT OF RUBBING YOU HAVE TO DO TO YOUR PAINT, RUBBING IS FRICTION, FRICTION IS ABRASIVE. IF YOU HAVE TO STRIP IT OFF......DON'T PUT IT ON.

When there is no damage.
Use NON ABRASIVE products designed to preserve not ABRASIVE products s
designed to restore on acrylic paint. You can do more damage to acrylic paint with clay and polish than you may understand.
That damage irreversable.

Give it a lot of thought before you go to smearing clay or rubbing abrasives polish on an acrylic paint job that you want to preserve.
