Paint care advice
Hey everyone, I bought my sunlight silver 03 rx-8 6 months ago. I then did a cut and polish and finished it off with a wax. Since the 6 months I recently noticed the paint is not as smooth as what it was after the wax.
So basically what should I do now?
Wax it again?
Clay bar?
Would I need to do a cut and polish again?
thanks

There are some basics you may want to examine
Polish is an abrasive used to smooth or even out a surface. It does this by cutting away micro millimeters of material at a time
This process will smooth a rough surface but it will roughen up a smooth one.
Wax is always necessary after polish because it it needed to smooth and cover the dull surface created by the polish.
But wax builds up decays and has to be removed, a lot of people suggest clay and polsh for this job.
The more you polish your paint the more you will damage it.
I would avoid using anymore abrasives.
You're going to need to use something to make the paint feel smooth and shine again.
Polish alone will not do it.

If I am damaging the paint by polishing then why would you do it, a clay bar can smooth out a surface if thats what you want.
how often should I do this whole procedure, I was thinking every 6 mths?
thanks
