I've used it three times now on two different cars, and this stuff really works as advertised. Wash, rinse, then rinse again with the filtered water. Very easy and no spots so far. It uses the wash fairly fast, and they say the filter is only good for 10 uses, but I like the results so far. The filter pulls all the minerals out of the water that leave spots when the drops dry. Good Stuff.

 

I work for the company that developed this product and it really is amazing. They gave us samples to use and it turns out that it does exactly what it says. I do feel it is expensive but if you have a love of shinny clean surfaces this stuf has it covered.

 

$21.00 is by no means expensive when it comes to car care, but i wouldn't use this stuff reason being is, in order to clean the dirt and grim off a car you have to have a chemical that gives off a exothermic reaction (heat).

This reaction is bad news for your clear coat. Also a thin transparent film is left of the car once it dries which is high in alkaline also not good for the clear coat or paint.

 

Is there a difference between Mr. Clean AutoDry and Mr. Clean Jet Dry? I've never heard of the latter, nor is it on the mr. clean website.

If we're talking about the former, I was under the impression that the filter is separate from the wash formula, and that its the wash formula that has the chemicals in it. No?

 

I got it for Fathers Day it definitely works as advertised (auto dry). I wash often and buying the filter and supplies, gets expensive though.

The soap that comes with Mr. Clean Autodry will remove waxes and polishes no matter what brand the polish is. It will make a silky smooth and freshly polished surface look dull and rough feeling.

If you do use the Mr. Clean Autodry, you need to throw the soap away and use a good name brand soap instead. Watch the concentricity of the soap though. For example.... Using Zaino car wash you need to dilute it 50/50 with distilled water. Other wise you are totally wasting the soap.

As for the filter part of the Mr. Clean Autodryer to get the minerals out of hard water, it does work pretty dang good. I can't knock it for that.

It is still a waste of money IMO. A handwash and removing the nozzle from the hose and letting the water sheet over the car is still better IMO.

 

ditto...but let me reiterate one thing DO NOT USE THE SOAP! that **** is horrible for your wax and its effects on the clearcoat are unknown (but it doesn't look good)

 

likewise.. Mr.Clean Autodry really sucks if you're a meticulous person.. It leaves very fine spots all over the car. They are small enough to not be visible from afar, but the car is not exactly clean or smooth to the touch compared to real good waxing/polishing effort.

 

This thing rocks!!!! I've used it dozens of times so far on numerous cars and everytime it works awesome. (so long as you change the filter) As a matter of fact I just finished washing my 8 and my wifes Tribute.

Wow, I own this product and have had no issues. It is the only thing I've used on my 8, and have had zero problems (except for I can't get the glass clean for the life of me). Granted I've only had the car for two months, and I just clay barred and waxed for the first time.

Now the clay bar is another amazing product, I HIGHLY recommend it!

 

seriously people DO NOT USE THE SOAP IN THIS PRODUCT...use Meguirs or Zaino whatever and mix it about 50/50 with water and use that as soap
