Questions for you all...I recently bought the NXT wax. I had previously polished and waxed with Meguiar's polish and "Gold Class" car wax. A couple weeks after that I got the NXT wax, clayed the car and then applied it. Should I have stripped all the wax by washing the car with dawn first? Does the "Gold Class" wax underneath affect the NXT wax appearance?? Would it look better if I stripped the wax down and started with the NXT??

Also, has anyone used both the Zaino wax and Meguiars NXT wax, and if so, which do you prefer and why??

Good question. I too have been using the Meguire's Gold Class, and am lothe to strip it all off if I go to NXT, which I'm thinking about.

I wouldn't think it would hurt to wax over the Gold Class, but I dunno. Anyone?

i used gold and then used the NXT over it. i believe there was a forum on NXT and i remember reading on autopia that the NXT might strip away the gold class. not sure if its true. i emailed meguire's about the combinations, they told me to just use NXT twice over using both. For me, NXT looked, and worked the same with both gold and nxt on. i didnt notice the difference.

I'm not sure if you guys are following this thread anymore, but I also contact Meguiar's, and the guy told me straight up not to use Gold Class--that NXT was such a good wax that there was no need for the Gold Class wax. He never got back to me, though, as to whether or not to layer the NXT wax.
