How to finish inside of door handle?

I had some bodywork down on my RX-8 a little while ago, but only today did I realize that the inside of the passenger door handle isn't "finished". When I put my fingers on it, it doesn't feel smooth or polished like the driver's side.

Anyone know how to finish the inside of the door handle? Is it something I can do easily myself? Polish? Wax? I could take it back to the bodyshop and wait for them to do it, but I'm hesistant since they forgot something else when I picked up my car the last time. Plus I'd rather keep my car instead of putting it in the shop for a day or so.

Hey, strange... I have exactly the same thing. I'm sure it's because it's hard to smooth out the paint (i.e, apply lacquer) on the inside of the door handle without taking it off, which means taking the entire door apart.

I kinda like it. Feels more grippy, and I know which side of the car I'm on without looking!
