Need help, when I wash my 8, it is leaving horrible hard water spots. I've done my best to wash it in the shade, keep entirely wet and then dry quickly. Is there a product which will reduce the likelihood of spots?

 

the mr cleen wash system will help.. but i too have really bad water here so the mr cleen wash spot free dry system only helps a bit. most times i have to dry then put a small ammout of wax down to clean off the spots.

try the Absorber. is a big shammie that suxs up most of the water. then you can just polish it out when its dry.

Set dial to rinse and wet car. Set dial to soap and spray car. Soap car with mitt or sponge (not included). Rinse again to eliminate all suds.
Set dial to Mr.Clean AutoDry (delivers de-ionized water spray from the filter). Spray entire car, starting at the top. Stay within 1 foot of car while spraying back and forth until regular rinse water has been rinsed away. Watch the water dry spot-free before your eyes!

nice, I'll give that a shot! Good tip with applying a small amount of wax afterwards. Some of those spots look like their set in for good. Luckily, this weekend I went through the whole clay bar, glaze and wax process, so it took care of most of the spots.

 

yes a good wax will buff that right off.. its just sitting on the clear coat. but dont rub to hard.. you dont want to scratch the clear coat. it is very soft as clear coat go .. gust let the wax do the trick.. I use zemole .. spelling.. but when its been done in the last week or so i just spray on the turtel wax inbetween stuff. then buff that out.. its fast and easy

I hope your not washing in direct sunlight.

The Mr. Clean soap is harsh stuff. Any waxing or prior polish that you have put on your car will dull or just get removed from the Mr. Clean soap. It will in fact remove Zaino. Just like Dawn.

After you final rinse the car, remove the nozzle and sheet the water over the entire car. Dry immediately and you shouldn't run into any problems.

 

I was thinking about purchasing the Mr. Clean system. Do you have to use the soap? Can't you just use it to rinse the car, basically just using it as a water filter? I've tried using regular water fro the hose with no nozzle. It sheets, but still leaves water spots. Black car in Texas...go figure.

 

That's what I did. I bought it for my wife's car, originally. After testing it on hers, I used it on mine - just the rinse cycle. Worked really well. I did not touch my car with the chammy and no spots.

 

Yeah black cars make it worse. Make sure you wash it out of the direct sunlight. That is the biggest benefit when washing black.

 

If your a Zaino user and the water spots are really stubborn, try Z6, Z5, or Z2. If that doesn't suit your fancy, break out the Z1. It will remove water spots like a dream. I have never had a water spot that Z1 wouldn't get rid.
