fixing clearcoat scratches??
fixing clearcoat scratches??
following an unsucessful removal of a heaping lump of bird ****, my right rear fender now has a bunch of scratches that appear to only be in the clearcoat (the paint looks fine). Theres a few scratches and some general scuffing it looks like.
Whats the best way/products to deal with it?

Try meguiars scratch x. Rub the product with a medium pressure for a good amount of time and check from time to time if its actually improving.if that doesn't work, u need a PC or a rotary buffer with the right compound to buff it out.
i got one of those a month ago. My friends wrote over my car and it left those scratchs. I used meigar's scratch X. It worked ok. The scratchs were still there, but a lot less noticable. I also tried waxing, only hid it better. I just got a friend to buff it out. Now its perfect. So i suggest finding someone who knows what their doing.
