Cleaning help.

Well I got some caulking on my seat covers and to clean it up i sprayed a little carb cleaner on it(its pretty much acetone and it comes right out). But it got a little overspray on the silver plastic on the middle console. Made little white spots. Anyone know of something to remove it ? Tried Simple Green and a couple other things but nothing is working.

Acetone + (most) plastics = bad news. The little white spots are likely where the acetone has melted the plastic. Sorry.

Thanks bill, I'll probably have to end up replacing it then.

Wouldn't have been so bad if I could have cleaned it up right away but I did it in the dark and it sat overnight until I came out the next day.
