Cleaning egg from glass...

Hey all,

My winter car (not the RX-8, thankfully) was the victim of a juvenile prank this weekend. Somebody egged it. Strangely, it looks like only one egg was thrown, and it hit the driver's side window.

I was able to clean the small amount of splattering from all painted surfaces (a little on the door, and the A- and B- pillars) and the side mirror. However, the majority of the egg stayed on the driver's side window. I think I've gotten all the egg white cleaned up, but I'm having a helluva time getting the remaining yolk off of the window. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I suggest finding the pranksters who did it, and beat them down to a pulp.

After that you may want to try "Invisible Glass". Its what I use, and works really well.

Try autoglym tar remover or Citrus Clean

Yeah, I wouldn't mind handing out a beating. Since my wife and I have a two-car garage, but three cars, my Toyota always ends up parked outside. Usually I pull in the driveway, but I parked in the street that night because we had guests over. After they left, I SHOULD have pulled back into the driveway, but didn't. I won't make that mistake again. If the person that did this is ballsy enough to come back and try it again IN MY DRIVEWAY, there will be hell to pay.

Anyway, I'll try the invisible glass and/or some tar remover and see how it goes. Thanks!

Use a very sharp razor blade to remove but making sure to hold it very flat on the glass surface.
