Can't find a towel made in the USA! :(

So I have gone to many stores (Linen and Things, Target, K-Mart, Walmart, and etc) and none of the stores sell 100% cotton towels made in the USA!

Whats also depressing is that my car is dirty and how I am I going to clean it without these towels! =/

Also, anyone know of a website that sells good stuff to wash my car (with Zaino stuff)? I guess I need one to wash the car with and then one to dry it with?

I use the big blue microfiber towels that they sell at walmart for about $6.50 each. They absorbe water and they don't scratch. I've bought about 6 of them so far - I keep getting them dirty while they dry (they blow around and land in the dirt)

another reason why i like the microfiber over cotten is that they grab ALL the water in one pass. So when I dry, I only have to go over the car once with it, and the water is all gone. It takes about two towels to dry the car properly because the towel gets too wet and they don't let go of the water easily (can't squeeze all the water out), but that is why it picks it up so well.

You don't have to get the Made in the USA cotton towels. I use microfiber as well. Just get good quality ones. Some that you get at Wal-Mart are OK, and some aren't as good.

Lots of places online sell top quality microfiber towels. I like Pakshak's towels. http://www.pakshak.com

If you have to get towels that are Zaino approved, try getting some DF Towels. They are microfiber, Sal Zaino has approved them. http://www.dftowel.com/

For washing the car, I just use a chenille cotton wash sponge.

Try your local mall: Dillards, Parisian, Macy's, etc. Those stores will have very high end towels, and you should be able to find something. I found some really nice towels by Ralph Lauren that were originally $15 /piece and on sale for $12. It was pretty much the only 100% cotton, made in USA, WHITE towel they had that day.

moyica, the reason for the made in the USA towels is that Sal Zaino suggests only using towels that are 100% cotton. According to Sal, other towels may say they are 100% cotton, but they are not. He names a few brands that he knows are acceptable and won't scratch paint, so that's what most people try to get.

I never could find any myself, so I started using high quality microfiber towels.

Try the microfiber drying towel from Griots (on the web) they work better than cotton towels.

If you are still looking for USA made towels, try JC Penney. They have the store label, but most seem to be mfg by Fieldcrest which I beleive is one of Zaino's recommended brands.
