Bug Guts

Ok, just got back to Chicago from a 700 mile round trip up north. I think I managed to kill half the insects in Minnesota with my car.

Question is, what is the best way to remove all their splattered corpses?

If it makes any difference, just before we left, I washed with Dawn and put on a full coat of Nxt.

Good carwash, warm water , terry wash mitt, and plenty of patience and soaking. The NXT should discourage their grip.

I'm having the same problem each weekend, but most of the blood and guts is on the removeable bra, not on the paint.

Try this for Bugs

I tried and use a product on the nose and windshield called Bugs B Gone. It's made by Seafoam. My brother uses it on his motorcycle plastic faring.
The spray is a super slippery pink liquid that lets you hose off the bug and bird stuff. I had some bug stuff really stuck on the nose (even with Zaino) and this stuff removed it. I found it at NAPA.

Sounds interesting... I'm going to look for it tonight - bugs in the Pacific Northwest are everywhere right now.

Try not to let the car stay out in the hot sun.

Use warm water, let it soak, light rub, then soak again.

you'd be surprised on how easily they are removed with a good soaking.

A clay bar will remove any left overs that washing won't take care of, it will also take off the wax!!

Whether clay removes the wax or not is controversial, and is discused in numerous threads here and on autopia. At any rate, it is a necessary part of your detailing toolkit.
