break dust

The chemical which reacts with iron to wash car wheels is very useful for the 8. And it is very intersitng to see the iron particles on the wheels turn into red color

The left side pic is a front wheel and the right side pic is a rear wheel.

In Japan, we can get this type of chemicals in any carshops with reasonable price(I think I got them under 7-8 US$)

The break dust of the 8 is a little bit suprising

I heard the Mazda 6 in Japan has the same phenomenon, and many owners complained about it, so that the Mazda will release other type break pad which produces less break dust.

Some of us would probably do just about anything to have RX-8 brake dust right now:D (Assuming the car comes with the dust )

Yeah, break dust is the stuff the mechanic sprinkles on your car during a tune-up to ensure your continued business

Thanks for the pic and link Yuhki. I've often wondered what is in break dust that can dammage wheel finish if not cleaned off. Rotor iron acts an oxidant for the clear coat
