Brake dust of front rims
Hello all,
Just want to start off by saying "Thank you" for all of your help with the questions that i have raised in this forum!!!
Has anyone got a solution to fixing the massive brake dust that accumulates on the front rims? Is there a cleaning product that people use, that isn't harsh enough to eat into the brake calipers and/or any other RX8 components? Is there a permanent solution to stop brake dust collecting? What are your thoughts? What products to you use? Please let me know, because I am getting a little tired of having to wash the rims every 2-3 days.
Kind Reagrds,
MrRx8_R

First off, clean your wheels well with an all purpose cleaner. I use Orange Fantastic or similar. Once they are clean, wax your wheels - this helps to keep the dust from sticking. Finally, when your stock pads wear out, consider replacing them with something designed to generate less brake dust. VividRacing sells Project Mu brake pads for the RX-8 (here) that are reputed to reduce brake dust significantly. Dunno how well they work, but this is what I plan on putting on when my '8 needs new pads. Hopefully by then someone will have them and will have given a review.
Hope this helps.
