Black Plastic "Mirror Mounts" ?

I don't know if "mirror mount" is the correct term but it fit in the title line and it's close. The sideview mirrors are attached to the car with a black plastic support piece. My car is titanium gray and since I have no garage space, it does sit out in the weather. I keep the car (and these particular black plastic pieces) well zaino'd. These mirror-mount areas are beginning to look "greyish"; kinda dry looking. They look like something that if treated with Armor-all would return to a nice continuous black color but I'm not at all sure that I want armorall on any part of my car other than possibly the sidewalls.

Has anyone else see this aging of the plastic on their mirrors?

Is there a remedy?

Sir. Put the Armor-All down and step away from the car. :p

I've never tried the NXT stuff, but do like 303 Aerospace Protectant. Not shiny, and brings out the black. Lasts through about 3 washes unless there's a lot of rain.

Thanks for the comments/advice. I'll give the MXT or the 303 Aerospace (if I can find it) a try. And I respect and agree with the guy who said "put the armorall down...."

You can usually find the 303 here.... ProperAutoCare

And no, I have no affiliation with these guys other than buying stuff from them for several years. Prices are OK, service is very good.

I use Mothers Black to Black and it works for a week or two before I see some grey.
