Best Wheel Cleaning Method

i have found that using Simple Green to clean the rims and i use the same wax that i use for my car...I use Megiars Gold Class but whatever u use to wax your car will do...leaves my rims absolutely sparkling....do this prolly once every week and a half and for time in between i just wipe off the excess dust with a shop rag and then spray and wipe it down with some Meguiars Speed Detailer to keep that beautiful shine...WORKS AWESOME an im very picky bout how my rims look...any other opinions on how to keep them sparklin???

try to not use Simple Green too often... very strong stuff... only use it if you had heavy deposit on the wheels... just use regular car wash and wax it afterward for regular maintenance

Simple Green

It will take that wax right off. Maybe try some regular car wash. Or dilute the SG....... Just a thought.

I recommend car wash soap. The rims are painted metal, just like the body. If you have an especially bad problem with brake dust, use wheel cleaner.

Elbow grease yo.

My buddy asked this shady dude in a caddy how he kept his chrome wheels looking so nice once in KC... after being granted permission by his "boss" in the car, that was his answer. And then the police dragged them out of his car while they threatened to kill my buddy. Cops said "You had better leave now". Funny story, bad timing, but a good answer.

Also, michelin makes a brake dust repellent that keeps the wheels cleaner and easier to get brake dust off when you wash. I use the stuff, it works really well.

I try to stay away from the strong wheel cleaners. I usually use car wash soap and a rag to clean the wheels by hand. Then once in a while I'll put Meg's Gold class wax on them. That way I can brush the dust off easier with a rag or my dust mitt.

I use Eagle One – A2Z All Wheel & Tire Cleaner. Easy to use and makes the next cleaning easier. You usually just have to spray it on and hose it off.
