Best wheel cleaner ??

Just wondering what you guys use to clean your wheels. SOmething non acidic since our wheels are alloy. I want to clean up my oem wheels before i put them back on in spring which is very nicely approaching. I went to Canadian Tire and saw that autglym had a wheel cleaner. Anyone have experience with that ??

I want to buy something that works obviously but also doesnt hurt the wallet too much

thanks

Dawn detergent, otherwise anything else at the store will eat away at the plastic coating or damage the metal.

Alright sounds good. Ive tried using car wash soap. Not strong enough. Ill give dawn a try lol. Ive always been too scared it will ruin the rims.

a good coat of wax goes a long way to make it easier to clean in the future

Do not use Dawn unless you plan on waxing your wheels after each cleaning. The factory wheels are painted, clean them with regular car wash and a soft brush and they will come out perfect (unless you only clean them every 6 months). That is all I have ever used to clean my factory wheels and my Volks on this car and many others over the years. All I do is wax them every so often with clear wax.

If you are serious then use this:

My methods have seemed to work well for me over the years.
